Lindsay Baker getting looks from major conferences

Lindsay Baker, the 5'11 forward from Warsaw High School and the Ft. Wayne Gym Rats 2013 team, has begun visiting some great schools in some major conferences.

To date, Lindsay has been on eight unofficial visits to schools in the MAC, Missouri Valley, and Horizon conferences. She will continue to make visits throughout the fall and spring to schools in these conferences. On top of this, certain schools from the Big 10, Big East, Atlantic Sun and Ivy League are also recruiting Lindsay. As of now, she has no official plans to visit schools in these conferences, but is in the process of scheduling them.

Baker is not only a stud on the basketball court, but also an excellent student. She's got a 12.1 GPA (on the 12.0 scale) and is just as determined to be successful in the classroom as she is the gym. Baker's AAU coach, Gil Farley, said she's a "tireless worker with great leadership qualities on and off the court."

Like many high school athletes that have a desire to play collegiate athletics, Lindsay is working on improving her game everyday. As of now, the main things holding her back are her lateral quickness and ball handling. She's a great shooter that can drain 3's from up to about 20 feet and possibly her greatest strength is her wealth of knowledge and thorough understanding of the game.

There is no doubt Lindsay will be a great addition in many ways to whatever program she ends up joining. MWRR will have more updates on Lindsay throughout the fall and spring.
